Two newsworthy events occurred at the new location of the Iowa Fire Service Training Bureau at Camp Dodge, 7105 NW 70th, Johnston, Iowa. Thomas Bales, Milo Fire Chief Retired, Dies Suddenly

Services are pending for Tom Bales, age 63, of Milo. Chief Bales became Milo Fire Chief in 1983 and just recently retired. He had been a member of the Iowa Fire Chiefs Association since 1990. Local Chester Crouse wrote "When Tom decided he wanted to be a police officer, he worked part time for the City of Milo. He was tutored by Ed Huntoon, a retired Warren County Deputy. New Firefighter Plate Applications Available Without Notary Requirement

Attached is the DOT forms used for firefighter license plate renewal. This form must be used for the firefighter that wants to get a new plate, replace a lost plate or renew a plate.
